Cascade

Cascade -

"Cascade," a temporary installation by British artist Steve Messam, graces the bungalows at LE 2024 in Miami. This ambitious artwork features a series of inflated tubes in a shocking pink hue, spilling dramatically from the roof terrace and cascading over the first-floor balcony giving the illusion of a fluid, dynamic descent down the entire front of the building.

Messam's installation transforms the facade, infusing it with colour and movement, and altering the apartment's appearance in a surreal and unexpected manner. The bold pink of the inflatable tubes contrasts sharply with the pristine white of the buildings, harmonising with Miami's saturated, vibrant colour palette. "Cascade" engages the viewer, inviting them to experience the space in a new, imaginative way.

By juxtaposing art and architecture, Messam redefines the building's conventional aesthetic, turning it into a focal point of artistic intrigue and delight.
